Travel with purpose
A trip that usually starts from Marrakech and takes travelers on a road trip through diverse terrain, such as the High Atlas Mountains with their picturesque villages, date palm groves, and ancient kasbahs; as you venture further south, the landscape transitions into arid plains, creating a stark contrast with the greenery of Marrakech; the tour often includes stops at iconic sites like the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Ait Benhaddou, a historic kasbah featured in numerous films and series; and the Ouarzazate film studios, also referred to as "Morocco's Hollywood."
We offer Walking with Nomad experiences in the incredibly beautiful mountain areas of Boumalne Dades and Toudgha (Todra) Gorge. Ranging from a half-day loop to a four-day trek, you will be staying in nomadic encampments and learning more about the way of life of these ancient tribes people. Although this is hiking rather than climbing, it is still possible to fit this experience into a tour of Morocco. Additionally, you have the option of spending the night before or after your trek in one of the cave rooms at the Eco Lodge in the heart of the gorge.
