5 Days Combined Atlas and Desert Trip
This 5-day combined Atlas and Desert trip, Toubkal to Sahara, combines two equally feasible objectives for Atlas Trekking Morocco and their team: first, climbing to the highest peak in Morocco and North Africa, Mt. Toubkal, at 4,167 meters above sea level; and second, an amazing camel ride through the Sahara desert to the largest sand dunes in Morocco, the Erg Chebbi dunes.
The ideal way to experience two of Morocco's top attractions is through the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert. The journey begins with trekking through the high Atlas Mountains to reach the highest peak and concludes with a camel ride in Erg Chebbi Dunes in Merzouga. The adventure portion of the trip consists of the Toubkal ascent, and the second part is a once-in-a-lifetime camel ride and a night at a Berber camp between the Sahara dunes. This itinerary will offer you a great chance to experience a genuine Berber community and learn about their customs, heritage, and way of life.

- Day 1: Marrakech–Imlil (1750 – Imlil(1750m) – Neltner Refuge(3207m)
- Day 2: Refuge (3207m), Toubkal summit (4167 m), and Imlil (1750m)
- Day 3: Imlil (1750m), Tizi n Tichka (2260m), Dades Valley
- Day 4: Dades Valley, Todgha Gorges and Merzouga
- Day 5: Merzouga, Tazzarin, Draa Valley, Marrakech
NB: If you prefer to break the distance of day 5, then we suggest spending the night in the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, so take a 6-day combined Atlas and Desert Trip.
